Agriculture has been and will continue to be the lifeline of our national economy atleast in the foreseeable future. Besides, sustaining livelihood and providing directly employment, it forms the backbone of the agro-based industries. The development of the nation is therefore directly or indirectly related to its agricultural advancement, realizing the scope and importance of agriculture, various extention, education, policies and scheme have been made available to the farming community by the government.
Acknowledging the growing sophisticated improved agricultural technologies by the farmers, the scheme of Krishi Vigyan Kendra or Farm Science Centre an innovative science-based intuition was established by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), mainly to impart vocational training to the farmers and field-level extension workers.
